2009 NSW Short Course Metropolitian Championships - 27th - 28th June 2009 SOPAC Homebush

 

Wow, What a great weekend of racing!!!

 

Congratulations to all swimmers who competed for Cranbrook Eastern Edge at the Metropolitan Championships on the weekend. The Club finished in 12th place overall out of 75 clubs who competed. This is a remarkable improvement from last year where we finished in 25th place respectively.
 
Special mention must go to one of the Club's newest swimmers Jordan White who finished with 8 top 5 pacings from 8 swims. 2 Gold - 3 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. In achieving this Jordan also broke the 15yrs Girls Metropolitan Record in the 200m Butterfly.

 

We also had outstanding results from

 
Tom Miller  -2 Gold                                      Christoph Karow  -1 Bronze
 

Julie Litver -1 Silver  and 1 Bronze             Ella Basalo  -2 Bronze
 

 

 

Top Ten Placing:

With the above results we also managed 40 personal best times out of 75 races contested.

The Club finished in 12th  place with 693 points.

 

 

Here We Come

Cranbrook Eastern Edge is storming through the rankings of the NSW Club Pointscore. An exciting and wonderfull weekend of racing for the Club at 2009 NSW State Age Snort Course Championships.

Cranbrook Eastern Edge Medalists were:

 

  • Nicole Mee 3 Gold and 1 Silver medals
  • Samantha Marshall 3 Gold medals
  • Jasper Goodall  2 Bronze medals
  • Girls 18yrs/under Medley Relay Gold medal (Jordan White, Samantha Marshall, Nicole Mee and Ella Basalo)

 

Cranbrook Eastern Edge Finalists were:

  • Ella Basalo 4
  • Julie Litver 3
  • Jacinta Mattingly 1
  • Jordan White 3
  • Jasper Goodall 4
  • Nicole Mee 5
  • Samantha Marshall 3
  • Boys 12yrs/under 4 x 50 Freestyle and Medley Relays (Jett Walker, Eddie Najm, Sheldon Bobboff and Jasper Goodall),
  • Girls 18yrs/under 4 x 100 Freestyle relay (Jordan White, Samantha Marshall, Nicole Mee and Ella Basalo)

 

All swimmers have represented themselves and their Club with distinction. We had many, many personal best times swum.

The Club finished in 21st Place with 577 points.

2008 we were placed 58th with 84 points.
