25 May 2008 - Maroubra Development Meet      Des Renford Aquatic Centre

What a fantastic carnival Cranbrook had at the Maroubra Development Meet .  There were numerous PB's set.  Sebastien Moir broke his PB in the 50 Back by over 5 secs, which he had set only 1 week prior at Peakhurst. Sophie Kondilios, Emma Whaling and Jack Whaling all produced PB's in every event, and we we all stopped to watch Tom Blin and Brandon Barton provide us with some close swims in their 100m events.

Sheldon Boboff, Tom Blin and Sally Gosbell set Meet Records on the day, with Sheldon having a great day setting four records, beating the previous 50m Breast by over 3 seconds and also qualifying for Metropolitan Championships in the 100m Free.

18 May 2008 - Peakhurst Junior Sprint Meet

25 Clubs attended the Peakhurst Junior Sprint carnival with 13 Cranbrook Eastern Edge Under 12's swimming the Club to a well deserved 3rd place overall.
 
Cranbrook won 5 Gold, 10 Silver and 7 Bronze medals, with numerous minor placings receiving ribbons.  Most impressive was the 27 Pb's achieved, and the first official NSWSA times set by our juniors, many outswimming their club night times. 
 
Congratulations to Claudia Farr-Jones who achieved a Metrops qualifying time in the 100m Free Championship Race, and Jessica McCarthy who swam the 50m Breast in 42.85. Jessica (10) has a birthday coming up, and this time was just 0.45 outside the 11 years State Qualifying time. Go Jess. Summer Walker swam 4 PB's taking out 3 Gold and 1 Silver.

Tigerlily Walker (5) and Jamie Gavin (5) showed enthusiastic support to their team members leading the cheering. The team looked fantastic in their club gear.

27 July 2008 – Blacktown Qualifying SC Meet

18 swimmers representing CEE achieving 35 PB's.  Tom Blin again consistently performed in his events taking out 1st place in the 50 Free (27.08) and 2nd in the 100m Free.  There were some close State Age qualifying times, where swimmers set some impressive PB's.

The following achieved State Age qualifying swims:

20 July 2008 – Wizards Winter SC Carnival

Cranbrook Eastern Edge team had a great day with 16 swimmers achieving 40 PB's.  All the swimmers did a PB on the day which is fantastic.  As you'll see in the results, some PB's were absolutely smashed.
