2009 AUSTRALIAN SHORT COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS HOBART - August 8th - 12th 2009 Cranbrook Eastern Edge were strongly represented by 9 senior swimmers at this year National Short Course meet in Hobart. The team achieved many oustanding PB's throughout the week. Samantha Marshall competed in 3 finals in the 50, 100 and 200m Breastroke finishing 7th - 4th and 6th respectively. Tom Miller competed in the final of the mens 100m Freestyle finishing 7th and was in the semi-final of the 50m Freestyle. Peter Kerr swam the semi-final of the mens 50m Breastroke Alexander Ross swam the consulation final of the mens 200m Butterfly and in doing so broke the magic 2.00min barrier for the first time. Our Mens Relay teams once again proved to be amongst this countries best teams. The 4 x 100m freestyle team of Tom Miller, Christoph Karow, Ben Campbell and Alex Ross finished in 3rd place and in doing so broke there own NSW Record. The Medley Relay consisting of Alex Ross, Peter Kerr, Tom MIller and Christoph Karow finished in fith place and also breaking the NSW State Record by over 5 seconds. The remainder of the team Jessica Glew, Jordan White and Simon Goldschmidt all swam strongly with personal best times to round of a very exciting meet for the Club. Well Done!!!!
NSW State Open SC Championships - 24th - 25th July 2009 SOPAC
Well, what another great weekend of racing for Cranbrook Eastern Edge Swimming Club at the Open State Championships.
The Boys 4 x 100 Medley team of Alex Ross, Peter Kerr, Tom Miller and Christoph Karow finished in 2nd place with a NSW All Comers Record Other top ten placings were - Alex Ross 3, Peter Kerr 1, Jordan White 4, Christoph Karow 1, Nicole Mee 1, A wonderfull effort from all swimmers. The Club finished in 2nd place overall with some amazing results. |
